A Journey To Guatemala

Living in the US, we definitely take some things for granted.  But I'm happy to be from an area of the country where people usually make it a priority to help out those in need.  Recently I got an opportunity to travel to Guatemala on a trip to help build houses for some people who really needed someone to help them out.  What a journey! Making it even more of an amazing experience was the fact that I got a chance to bring my daughter and show her what it's like for people who live in other parts of the world who don't have access to some of the amenities and advantages that we enjoy here in the USA.

I'll be doing a series of blog posts to share my specific experiences, but today I just want to share some pictures from the trip. I hope you enjoy them and maybe spend a moment or two thinking about how fortunate we really are to have such great housing options and high standard of living in the U.S. Enjoy.

We met so many wonderful people on the trip, including some of the kids that will shape our world's future.
